Gallery II: Still Geworden series. Sixteen paintings loosely connected to a deep reading of the poetry of Paul Celan. Still geworden—becoming silent—is a phrase used to define the trajectory of Celan’s increasingly compacted and sharply honed use of German to describe and later embody what is ultimately unspeakable.
